Equipment Setup
If you are working in the sound booth for a service, and you are the first one to arrive, this is all the equipment that needs to be turned on and configured.
The order in which some of the equipment is turned on is very important, as, for example, turning the amp on before the mixer could potentially damage the speakers.
Computer
Turn on with the small, round, inset button on the rear right
HDMI Switcher
Turn on with the remote
Camcorder
- Connect the power cable on the right
- Connect the mini HDMI cable on the left
- Turn on with the rectangular button on the left
- Open the lens cover with the switch on the front right
Camera
- Connect the micro USB cable above the micro HDMI cable on the left
- Turn on by rotating the dial surrounding the shutter button on the top until the marker points to On
- Ensure the lens cap is removed
- Ensure the Mode dial on the top is set to Movie, indicated by the film icon
Mixer
- Turn on with the rocker switch on the rear right
- In the section labeled Scenes on the right side of the board, press View
- Scroll with the left-most knob under the screen to find the scene called Default Service
- Press the same knob to select the scene
- Move the Main fader up to 0 (another name for this is Unity)
Amp
Turn on with the push button on the front right
Stagebox
Turn on with the rocker switch on the rear right
Wireless Receiver
Turn on with the push button on the front right
Stage Monitor
Turn on the stage monitor by the piano with the rocker switch on the rear
Mother’s Room TV
Turn on with the remote (the red light on the TV will turn on)
Foyer TV
Turn on with the remote (the light under the TV will become green) and navigate to the Computer input
